John 6:44
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him [giving him the desire to come to Me]; and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day”
It took a while for me to figure that God really wants to relate with me personally.
That was until I met a Christian who was different from what I had become accustomed to. They (1) appeared to be able to hear God talking to them through the Holy Spirit (2) they lived a life very consistent with the scriptures (3) Did not seem to care about being sought after / seeking leadership positions in church life (4) Manifested some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (5) Understood the word of God and how to use it for praying and on applying it on a daily basis.
Until then I’d not enough understanding to comprehend that I could relate with God like that. I started to learn about how to relate to God in a more personal way by observing their example. Not long after the Lord spoke to me (not audibly) but I knew in my heart that it was God. Ever since I have studied the Word of God and have a close connection with God in a way that I couldn’t understand before then. What had happened to me? I had been attracted, drawn to God and inspired through a fellow Christian
The opening scripture reads “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him [giving him the desire to come to Me]; and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day”
The Lord is with the Father, but His Spirit is within us. Through our lives people around us will be attracted to God and will yearn for Him. Just by living according to the Word, you can witness to a lost soul attracting them to the Lord. In a world where souls seek the latest trend and copy that trend, you and I can live by the Word of God and compel others to desire a heart for the things of God. Think about it my dear friend, until we meet again.
